3. What Steel Grade Is Being Used?
Not all steel sheds use the same grade or thickness.
Ask:
- What is the base metal thickness (BMT)?
- What steel grade is used for columns and rafters?
- Are purlins roll-formed or RHS?
Lower upfront pricing can sometimes reflect lighter sections.
4. Is The Frame Fully Bolted or Welded?
Fully bolted frames:
- Allow accurate on-site assembly
- Reduce heat distortion
- Simplify replacement or modification
Ask what frame system is being supplied.
5. What Wind Rating Is Included?
Victoria includes multiple wind regions and terrain categories.
Ask:
- What wind classification is included?
- Will it pass local building permit requirements?

6. What Is Actually Included in the Price?

- What warranty applies to the steel?
- What warranty applies to workmanship?
- Who is responsible if there is an issue?
9. Is The Business a Manufacturer or a Reseller?
Ask:
- Who manufactures the shed?
- Where is it made?
- Who do I contact if there is an issue in 10 years?

10. Can They Show Local Projects?
Ask to see:
- Local builds
- Similar size structures
- Photos of completed work
